Home Again!!
Album #3
The Interoceanic Canal Museum is located at Cathedral Plaza in the old part of Panama City known as Casco Viejo. This area is undergoing a resurgence. The colonial Spanish buildings are starting to be renovated as it becomes the new "in" spot to live. The Museum is housed in what was the French headquarters during DeLesseps' attempt to build a canal and was the first Isthmian Canal Commission headquarters as well. The interior of the building has had extensive renovations and includes a French restaurant. Unfortunately, photographs are forbidden except in the entryway. The exhibit is very well done with more to come after the third floor renovations are completed.
