Guide to the Birds of Panama Size is
9 to 12 inches. Rather scarce in Canal area. Found on Coiba, Taboga,
and Perlas Islands. Ranges from Mexico to Bolivia, Northern
Argentina and Southern Brazil. Feeds in early morning and late
afternoon. Often eats prey on the wing. Also flies among swifts and
disguises itself as a swift to possibly ambush its prey. |
