We waited and waited to look and see,
The VERY best Christmas Tree!

All wrapped up tight in string,
There really was no telling
Which would be the best ...
of All the rest!

We got it home and cut the string,
stuck it in a pail of water ...
To wait for the unfolding -

Then dashed back to the Commy ...
another tree to buy -
For 'two' it had become a need ...
To make "One" lovely Christmas Tree!
