Comments A friend recommended I check out your website as I just returned from a visit to Panama! What great fun! We will be producing interdisciplinary, multimedia materials for middle level students on a Panama theme as part of our JASON Project. Our collaborator is STRI.

I was in Panama last week planning a summer institute for JASON teachers. So, I will be back.

During my visit, I ran across ACP people during a visit on Saturday to the Embera Drua village. I was very impressed with the work ACP is doing for the children and people of the village. The Embera Drua people are "beautiful" people.

A colleague of mine, Imelda Munoz Moreno, is working with the department of education for Panama to supply and train Panama teachers on the JASON Project "Panama - Rainforests at the Crossroads" materials during the upcoming year.

I was sorry to leave Panama City on Sunday...the day of the big parade!!

I look forward to learning more about Panama...and returning in July.

I was in Panama for a short time during 1989 and 1990, but it was not for a long enough time for my liking. I look forward to getting back to Panama as soon as I can. Hopefully retire there....possibly in Bocas, on one of the islands.
If anyone knows some insiders I could speak with, I'd greatly appreciate it.
I didn't get to spend much time there and I miss it tremendously. I can't imagine gorwing up there like most of you and having to leave. One great thing I see here appears to be a tight knit group!!!!

Comments Hi,
I know that this sight is for alumni and all of that but I got here and I just had to write. I lived in Panama for three years and loved every minute of it. Granted, I was in elementary school but still. I can remember everything vividly. It was awesome. Now that I am a senior in high school I am really really proud to list on my applications that I attended a school in Central America. Curundu Elementary was an experience unto itself and going to Panama was a gift I will never forget.
I loved the pics on the sight. Especially of Fort Clayton, Ambassador Beach (we went there almost everyother week) and really loved the picture of Isle Grande. That was the first place I snorkeled in and I have been hooked ever since. The only things that I really really really love to see are pictures of Albrook Stables (I owned a horse there) and the housing in Fort Clayton (boy do I miss that house right on the jungle line!)
