Comments Man was checking this out and saw some killer memories here after I got out of the Navy in 86 I went back to Panama and was working with USARSO until the end as a contracting officer, after 1 year of panama "owning" the canal my wife former chief of marketing for PCC we decided to relocate to the north and I was picked up with the USGS, sure is nice to skim along memory lane.

Comments I wasnt raised in the canal zone but I was stationed in Ft. Kobbe from April of 76 thru Sept78. I was in C3/5 196. I had a most enjoyable time in the Zone and in the RED LIGHT district of Panama City also had a real good time at Kobbe Beach every Sat. and Sunday. You Canal Zone kids arent the only ones who had the "BEST TIMES OF THEIR LIVES" in the Zone.

Comments My father was stationed in Panama during the 70's ('74-'77). I was only 6 when we left, but I have fond memories of Panama. I was even joined a Brownie troop. =)My youngest brother was born there...To this day, we still reminisce about living there and wonder what it looks like today. We lived in a place called France Field. I know my brother has recieved messages about what it looks like today. Someday, I hope we'll get to see it.
