Comments: What a great web site. It's nice to see some of my old stomping grounds. Viewing all of these photographs sure did bring back good memories of Panama. I attended Cristobal H.S. from 1973 thru 1975, durring my freshman and sophmore years. Went stateside for two years, then went back to the Canal Zone in the summer of 1977 after graduating from High School in Florida. I attended Canal Zone College from January 1978 until June of 1979. I got to know some good people in the Canal Zone. The jungles were great places to stomp around in and the fishing was fantastic. I hope some of the zonies I knew see and recognize my name and e-mail me. Some of my favorite memoies are from Panama. God bless everyone!

Comments: Going down memory lane, you think you may have forgotten things, places and people over the years, but then you get on this site and it all comes back to you like it was yesterday, and you say "Oh yeah, now I remember him, her or that place. This is really a cool site. Would be nice to hear from some former classmates, neighbors, etc. I attended Cristobal High School from 1962-66, came back to the states after graduation as there were soooooooo many opportunities in Panama at that time? We lived in Fort Sherman for awhile, Fort Davis the remainder of our "tour" and in the Evacuation Center at Fort Gulick during the Bay of Pigs adventure. Didn't realize how close we were to war until I got older. Remember taking my brothers down by the ocean to see the many, many battleships!!! Well, if anyone would like to reply, I'd love to hear from you!!!

Comments: I lived in the Canal Zone in the '70's, in Cardenas Village... I attended Los Rios Elementary. My parents are Paul and Joanie Wilburn. My brothers are Warren and Teddy Wilburn. We lost our dad in '98 and miss him so much. Panama was always his favorite place... I lived by Don Sammy's 2,Restraunt of the Americas,a KFC and a movie theater.I can almost taste the grilled Corvina and the Cow Foot soup, as the waiter called it. I used to have to drive through "little Hollywood" to get to the Zone, til I crunched the front of the bug and the parents took my license. Then I had to ride a bicycle to get to the Zone. 35 cent drinks-happy hour-Yacht Club. a speeding car- load of teens go off the Causeway-1 dead.MOLAS.FiFI who's last name meant ashtray.cuts-batts and banana paper.Ivanhoe,Jean and I(the Mod Squad-I was Pete)Roseanne Eastman,late nite cafeteria fries w/gravy.I planted trees behind there.Pam Clark.beer from a machine.surfer Kinky ? rolled his bug going down the mountain from a party where I met Bunny (Love?)meecha? bread-SECOyuk! the Vulcan valley and Interrior w/those little horses for rent.The CARNIVAL. the names I can't remember.Panama wanted a huge chunk of Dad's income before we were to leave, so we snuck out with military help.
