Drove up to the Goethals monument next to the Balboa High School. Haven't been there since I was about 2 years old and my dad took a picture of me in front..... Spent about four really hot days there, accented by a day-long rain shower somewhere in between. Found the people very delightful, but the taxi drivers are nuts! And all that honking! Got to take a lauch through the Gaillard Cut; very, very impressive. Even got a small tour of the Administrator's house, without the Adminsitrator, of course. Apologies to everyone who wrote to me last year offering assistance with my trip; my old email from my old machine has been bundled and stored away and I didn't have access to it. Email would be welcome. I would love to go back someday, although I somehow think it would be different..... Anthony |

We were started when Ed Idol got Ralph Smith, Ralph Edmondson, Harold Griffin and me together backstage at a BHS talent show in 1961. Later, Buddy Morgan from Jack Devore's group got involved. We played a bunch of dances at school functions and military gigs until we broke up when everybody went off to college after we cut an LP in 1963. Now there's talk of re-gathering everybody who played old rock during those years for a part in the annual reunion in Florida. I'm up for it! |

I am a CZbrat(former, of course)! I have wonderful memories of Panama, and miss it terribly! I have found one family who lived behind us on Albrook Air Force Base...We lived there from 1973-1977! I was an Albrook Cheerleader for two years....I was the tallest girl(I hated that back then, but love it now) Anyway, I am looking for so many people....So, here goes....Yvonne Browning, Glenn Browning, Frankie Diaz, Scott Hunt, and Stevie Hunt, Jennette, Yvette and Tommy Franco, Lupe Garcia, and a good friend; Glenda Edwards who moved to Texas to live with her mother. There are also people who went to our Church: Cocoli Baptist Church: Those people are The Robinson's, Swanson's, Martha Reed(her husband was a lawyer for the AirForce), Harrises, Kay Bass, Pat and Johnny Culberson, Pat Stallings, Helen Norris(from SC) and this includes their children as well. These are their parents names. So many people that I would like to find, but too many to list. Remember when it would rain so hard, and the gutters and pretty much everything would be flooded!!!!! And we wanted to play in that all the time, just didn't realize we were cappable of getting hurt at that time. I remember this huge tree tire swing we all used to swing on, and this huge hill we used to slide down on, with cardboard boxes. My father would bring home these huge parachutes, and we would all make big bubbles with it and "fly" down those hills! haha There was an area just outside Albrook Air Force Base, we would pass it everytime we went the back way out of the base, it was a small village of panamanians who were so poor, they lived in mud houses, and cardboard houses, and Albrook AF Base built some small homes for them, cause Panama wouldn't do anything about it, those poor people were bathing in mud, and gross smelling "water"!! It made that whole area stink!! Well, I will close this for now, don't want to get ahead of myself.....please email me....would love to hear from anyone!! Love to all CZbrats, Angela L.
