Comments I was a Howard AFB brat when I lived in the Zone (1973-1977). I loved living there and still miss it, and I'm so grateful that this web site exists. I enjoy looking at the pictures and reading the questbook, but, more importantly, it was through the CZbrats site that I was able to find and reconnect with my high school boyfriend (Richard Watkins, BHS 75). We were suppose to marry many years ago, but I was stupid and "ran" and we lost touch, but I never forgot him. Long story short, I emailed him last year via a posting he made to this web site while looking for me. Great news - we're still crazy about each other and I've accepted Rick's marriage proposal (again) and now wear the engagement ring that we picked out together 26 years ago while living in Panama. I thank God everyday for this miracle and the memories of living in CZ's paradise.

I returned in 1990, as a pilot(USAF, bringing in and picking up the 82nd airborne troops that removed Noriega. That was a real deja vu. Any brats remember an Alice Leblanc,late 50's grad?
