Comments My wife and I are talking about spending our 10th wedding anniversary in Panama. It's been nearly 20 years since I left. Can anyone give me some direction as to who I might get in touch with to help with a transit, transportation, tours, etc. We're looking to take our trip during the ocean-to-ocean cayuco race. It was the best of times...skim boarding in the Diablo roads after a heavy rain, the spinning club, green mangoes,St. Mary's, won-ton's at the "Y"... so many memories. Comments Enjoyed the site. Zonians forever! Was born in Panama and raised in the Canal Zone. Lived in Curundu near the pool then moved to 6th Street in Curundu. Later in 2 different housings in Fort Clayton (the last one in the 500 area). Of course, attended the Teen Club in Fort Clayton which was very popular with us teens then, but haven't seen mention of this in the sites I've looked at. Also the Observatory near Fort Clayton where we would hang out in the evenings. I saw mention of crusing the Cause Way which was also a popular thing to do. Went to St. Mary's Catholic School then Curundu Jr. High, Balboa High School and 2 years at Canal Zone College. I left the Canal Zone in 1975 and went to live in Dallas, TX. My brothers and sister are Rolando Fabrega, Gustavo Fabrega and Teresa Fabrega Boyd who reside in Texas. I sometimes visit Panama since I still have relatives there and to see the changes. I went 3 or 4 years ago and was not able to enter the military bases, so I was not able to go down memory lane in the Zone then. So all the pictures I've seen today brought back good memories. Hopefully I'll get to see the Zone when I visit Panama for 2 weeks this July 2002. Best wishes to all the Zonians and Panamanians.
